Microsoft has released the Pre-release version of Microsoft Emulator for Windows 10 Mobile. This package is a desktop application that emulates a Windows 10 Mobile device when used in conjunction with Visual Studio 2015 Preview. It provides a virtualized environment in which you can debug and test universal apps without a physical device. It also provides an isolated environment for your application prototypes.

Microsoft has released the Windows Phone 8.1 Emulators. This package adds six emulator images to an existing installation of Visual Studio 2013 so you can can test how apps will work on phones running Windows Phone 8.1. (Requires Visual Studio 2013 with Update 2 or later.)

The Windows Phone SDK update for Windows Phone 7.8 is now available for download. This SDK adds two new emulator images to your existing Windows Phone SDK installation. This update supports both the Windows Phone SDK 7.1 and the Windows Phone SDK 8.0. Using this update, you can provide the Windows Phone 8 Start screen experience in your Windows Phone 7.5 apps. You can also test how your apps will run on Windows Phone 7.8 devices.
Download Windows Phone SDK 7.1.1 Update - CTP
The Windows Phone Software Development Kit (SDK) 7.1.1 is now available for download. Windows Phone SDK 7.1.1 Update provides additional functionality to the existing Windows Phone SDK 7.1 software to enable mobile developers to better target applications for 256MB Windows Phone devices. This update includes an updated 512MB emulator, as well as a new 256MB emulator image, and Intellisense support to communicate device targeting preferences. Once installed, the WP SDK 7.1.1 update allows you to decide which emulator you would like to deploy your app to.
