When you trying to update Windows 8 to Windows 8.1, you may receive the error code 0xc190010b. This issue occurs because there are any pending updates available.
Resolution
Check the system, then install the pending updates.
To download and install the pending updates.
1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen and then click or tap the Settings charm or press Windows key + C on the keyboard.
2. Click or tap on Change PC Settings.
3. Click or tap on Windows Update.
4. Make sure if there are any pending updates available.
5. Click or tap on the "We'll install x important update (s) automatically" then click or tap the Install button.
Once the pending updates installed on the computer, reboot the computer to make changes .
Now try updating the Windows 8.1 again.
