Firefox 44.0.2 is now available for download and all existing users should be able to upgrade to it automatically (Menu > Help menu > About Firefox). According to release notes this release contains the following:

Firefox 44.0 Final released
The final version of Firefox 44.0 is now available for both desktop and android users. Firefox now lets you choose to receive push notifications from websites if you give them permission. This is similar to Web notifications, except now you can receive notifications for websites even when they’re not loaded in a tab. This is very useful for websites like email, weather, social networks and shopping, which you might check frequently for updates. This release also includes a number of feature enhancements and security updates.
What's new features in Firefox 44.0?
According to Firefox release notes, Firefox 44.0 for desktop has the following new features and changes:
New:
- Improved warning pages for certificate errors and untrusted connections.
- Enable H.264 if system decoder is available.
- Enable WebM/VP9 video support on systems that don't support MP4/H.264.
- In the animation-inspector timeline, lightning bolt icon next to animations running on the compositor thread.
- Support the brotli compression format via HTTPS content-encoding.
- Screenshot commands allow user choice of pixel ratio in Developer Tools.
Changed:
- To support unicode-range descriptor for webfonts, font matching under Linux now uses the same font matching code as other platforms.
- Use a SHA-256 signing certificate for Windows builds, to meet new signing requirements.
- Firefox has removed support for the RC4 decipher.
- Firefox will no longer trust the Equifax Secure Certificate Authority 1024-bit root certificate or the UTN - DATACorp SGC to validate secure website certificates.
- Stricter validation of web fonts.
- On-screen keyboard support temporarily turned off for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

According to Firefox release notes, Firefox 44.0 for android includes features enhancements that improve the browsing experience for users, here are highlights of changes in version 44.0 for android:
New:
- Use Android print service to enable cloud printing.
- Prompt user before opening Intent URIs in a Private Browsing tab.
- Show search history suggestions.
- Web-based Firefox Accounts page.
- Added support for launching URIs with mms: protocol.
- Users can now choose a homepage to display on startup instead of the Top Sites panel.
Changed:

Web Push notifications in Firefox (Desktop)
You can choose whether or not to give permission for a site to send you notifications by following these instructions:
1. Go to the Firefox menu and select Options.
2. Select the Content panel and click the Choose button under Notifications.

3. Select the site you don't want to send you notifications then click Remove Site or Click Remove All Sites to remove all sites.
Alternatively, click the options in one of the notifications you receive.
