Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 Now Available for Download

Adobe has released Flash Player 14.0.0.145 for Windows and Macintosh, Flash Player 11.2.202.394 for Linux. These updates address three critical-risk vulnerabilities that could potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system.

Adobe recommends users update their product installations to the latest versions:

• Users of Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.215 and earlier versions for Windows should update to Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145.
• Users of Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.215 and earlier versions for Macintosh should update to Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145.
• Users of Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.378 and earlier versions for Linux should update to Adobe Flash Player 11.2.202.394.
• Flash Player installed with Google Chrome will automatically be updated to the latest Google Chrome version, which will include Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 for Windows, Macintosh and Linux.
• Flash Player installed with Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 8 will automatically be updated to the latest Internet Explorer 10 version, which will include Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 for Windows 8.
• Flash Player installed with Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 8.1 will automatically be updated to the latest Internet Explorer 11 version, which will include Adobe Flash Player 14.0.0.145 for Windows 8.1.

This release provides access to the Flash Player 14.0 runtime for Windows desktop and Mac OS environments.

New and Updated Features

• PPAPI Content Debugger: The PPAPI Flash Player content debugger allows developers will be able to debug their content using the PPAPI interface on Chromium based browsers.
• AnisotropicFiltering: This new texture sampling filter can enhance the image quality of textures on surfaces that are at oblique viewing angles.
• New Stage3D "Standard" Profile: Developers can now request this high level profile when creating Context3D.
• Intel x86 Android Support
• Packaging for x86 architecture in Flash Builder
• Improved Packaging Engine - iOS: Based on the feedback recieved from the developer community, tons of improvements and bug fixes have been made in the new packaging engine for iOS.
• AIR Gamepad: AIR Gamepad feature enables the app developers to provide a second screen on Android mobile devices for the Flash based browser games. AIR Gamepad API enables Flash based browser apps to connect to a paired Android device running the AIR Runtime app and therefore allowing the Android devices to be used as game controllers or second-screen interfaces.

This build contains the following security fixes:
