Windows Management Framework 5.0 Preview April 2015

Windows Management Framework 5.0 Preview April 2015 is now available for download. WMF 5.0 Preview April 2015 includes updates to Windows PowerShell, Windows PowerShell Desired State Configuration (DSC), and Windows PowerShell ISE. It also includes OneGet, PowerShellGet, and Network Switch cmdlets.

What's new in Windows Management Framework 5.0 Preview April 2015?
Windows Management Framework (WMF) 5.0 Preview April 2015 contains functionality that has been updated from WMF 4.0. WMF 5.0 Preview April 2015 is available for installation on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 (Except IA64).

This release includes everything from WMF 5.0 Preview February 2015 plus some new improvements, including the following:
  • Windows PowerShell 5.0
  • Windows PowerShell Integrated Scripting Environment
  • Windows PowerShell Desired State Configuration
  • Network Switch Cmdlets
  • Package Management
  • Software Inventory Logging

Windows Management Framework 5.0 makes updated management functionality available for installation on Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows 8.1 Pro, Windows 8.1 Enterprise, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2.

Download Windows Management Framework 5.0 Preview April 2015

Once you click on the "Download" button, you will be prompted to select the files you need. Download the files appropriate for you.

Note: You must uninstall any other copies or versions of WMF 5.0 Preview (including the April 2014 release) before installing WMF 5.0 Preview April 2015.

System Requirements
WMF 5.0 Preview April 2015 installs only on the following operating systems:
  • Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2 (All except IA64)
