Update (KB3035034) for vulnerabilities in Adobe Flash Player in Internet Explorer

Microsoft has released an update KB3035034 for Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, and Windows RT, and for Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, and Windows RT 8.1. The update addresses multiple vulnerabilities described in Adobe Flash Player 16.0.0.296.

Microsoft recommends that customers apply an update KB3035034 immediately using update management software, or by checking for updates using the Windows Update service. Customers who have automatic updates enabled will not need to take any action because protections will be downloaded and installed automatically. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

Note:
The update for Windows RT and Windows RT 8.1 is available via Windows Update.

Known issues with this security update
  • Windows Update will not offer this security update to Windows RT-based computers until update KB2808380 has been installed.
