Windows Azure Virtual Machine Readiness Assessment

Windows Azure Virtual Machine Readiness Assessment is now available for download. This assessment will automatically inspect your on-premises environment, whether it is physical or virtualized, and provide you with a check list and detailed report on steps you need to take to move your environment to the cloud.

Overview
The Virtual Machines Readiness Assessment tool will automatically inspect your on-premises environment, whether it be bare metal or already virtualized, and provides you with tailored guidance and recommendations for migrating your environment to Windows Azure. If you’re running Active Directory, SQL, or SharePoint this tool will make it easy for you to get started.

Automated Assessment

• This tool will provide a high level checklist and a detailed report.
• The checklist outlines areas which are ready to move and areas which may need additional configuration or design changes.
• The detailed report offers expert guidance and advice tailored to your environment.

Install Instructions
Follow the instructions below to install Windows Azure Virtual Machine Readiness Assessment.
1. Download and run WAVMRA.EXE on the computer you want to run the assessment from
2. Complete the installation steps
3. Launch the Microsoft Azure Virtual Machine Readiness Assessment tool
4. Select the technology you want to assess and proceed through the wizard experience
