Dropbox 2.6.33 Final Now Available for Download

Dropbox has released a version 2.6.33 of Dropbox, a final (aka stable) build of its desktop client for Windows, Mac and Linux. This new build includes:
  • Fixed a rare infinite Connecting error.
  • Fixed Move Dropbox to a 2nd hard drive.
  • Fixed un-dismissable notification message.

Overview
Dropbox works just like any other folder on your computer, but with a few differences. Any files or folders inside Dropbox will get synchronized to Dropbox's servers and any other computer linked to your account. The green checkmarks will appear on top of your files to let you know that they're synced and up to date. All data is transferred over SSL and encrypted with AES-256 before storage. Dropbox keeps track of every change made to any of its contents.

The Dropbox 2.6.x branch comes with several new features, include a redesigned Setup Wizard, a new installer for both Windows, and a few others more. Here are some key features of version 2.6:
  • Dual account support*.
  • Redesigned Setup Wizard.
  • Pause Syncing is now available from the tray popup.
  • New Installers for Windows and Mac OS X.
  • Selective Sync UI significantly more responsive.

*To use dual account, you must have a Dropbox for Business account and your DfB team must be part of the beta program. If you're a DfB administrator, you can request access here: https://www.dropbox.com/business/two-dropboxes

Note: To test the Setup Wizard unlink your Dropbox from preferences. If you have a really large Dropbox the relink can take a really long time
