Dropbox 2.6.6 Stable Now Available for Download

Dropbox has released a version 2.6.6 of Dropbox, a stable (final) build of its desktop client for Windows, Mac and Linux. This new build includes:
  • DfB team admin disabling desktop multiaccount linking takes effect immediately.
  • Other small fixes.

Overview
Dropbox works just like any other folder on your computer, but with a few differences. Any files or folders inside Dropbox will get synchronized to Dropbox's servers and any other computer linked to your account. The green checkmarks will appear on top of your files to let you know that they're synced and up to date. All data is transferred over SSL and encrypted with AES-256 before storage. Dropbox keeps track of every change made to any of its contents.

The Dropbox 2.6.x branch comes with several new features, include a redesigned Setup Wizard, a new installer for both Windows, and a few others more. Here are some key features of version 2.6:
  • Redesigned Setup Wizard.
  • Pause Syncing is now available from the tray popup.
  • New Installers for Windows and Mac OS X.
  • Selective Sync UI significantly more responsive.

Note: To test the Setup Wizard unlink your Dropbox from preferences. If you have a really large Dropbox the relink can take a really long time
