Microsoft releases Cumulative Update 3 for Exchange Server 2013

Microsoft has released the third Cumulative Update (CU3) for Exchange Server 2013 (KB2892464). CU3 for Exchange Server 2013 resolves issues that were found in Exchange Server 2013 CU2 since the software was released. This update rollup is highly recommended for all Exchange Server 2013 customers.

Overview
Cumulative Update 3 (CU3) for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 provides the latest fixes for Exchange Server 2013 and contains stability and performance improvements. This update enables you to install Exchange Server 2013 in your existing Exchange Server 2010 or Exchange Server 2007 organization.

Notes:

• The Cumulative Update 3 package can be used to perform a new installation of Exchange Server 2013 or to upgrade an existing Exchange Server 2013 installation to Cumulative Update 3.
• You do not have to install Cumulative Update 1 or Cumulative Update 2 for Exchange Server 2013 when you install Cumulative Update 3.

Issues that the cumulative update 3 resolves
Cumulative Update 3 for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 contains the fix for the security issue that is described in Security Bulletin MS13-061 and resolves the issues reported by customers. For a list of changes that are included in this cumulative update, see KB2892464.
