June 2013 Surface RT firmware update includes new Home Button driver and keyboard update

Microsoft has released June 2013 firmware and drivers update for Surface RT. This firmware and driver package contains drivers for all of the components in the Surface RT device, as well as updates to the system firmware that have been released via Windows Update.

Because updates are cumulative, when you install the latest update, you'll also get all the previous updates if your Surface doesn't have them already. Only updates that apply to Surface will be downloaded and installed.

The June 2013 update includes these firmware and performance improvements:

• Surface Home Button driver update that improves the reliability of the devices waking up immediately on the first button press.
• Firmware update for Surface Type Cover and Surface Touch Cover that improves functionality for both accessories. Includes the ability to toggle function keys, new shortcuts, and helpful keyboard navigation improvements.
