Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 Update 2 available for download

Microsoft has released the second major update for Visual Studio 2012. This update is the latest in a cumulative series of feature additions and bug fixes for Visual Studio 2012.

Overview
Visual Studio 2012 Update 2 (Visual Studio 2012.2) is the latest update for Visual Studio 2012, providing new functionality and fixes. In addition, Update 2 is a cumulative release that also includes all of the benefits delivered in Update 1. This release has enhancements that span feature areas across all editions, with a special focus on the modern lifecycle capabilities introduced in Premium and Ultimate. The new functionality in Update 2 focuses on four key areas:

• Agile planning
• Quality enablement
• Line-of-business (LOB) application development
• Developer experience

• 1.6 GHz or faster processor.
• 1 GB of RAM (1.5 GB if running on a virtual machine).
• 10 GB of available hard disk space.
• 5400 RPM hard disk drive.
• DirectX 9-capable video card that runs at 1024 x 768 or higher display resolution.
