Firefox 19.0 Beta 3 Available for Download

Firefox 19.0 Beta 3 is now available for download from Mozilla download center. Firefox 19.0 features a built-in PDF viewer that safer, more seamless cross-platform experience for viewing PDF documents. Firefox 19.0 also offer to reset the Awesomebar search provider, if it has been changed by third-party software or through about:config.

Firefox 19.0 warns users if programs to replace the awesomebar search provider with of theirs and allows the user to restore default search provider from the warning dialog shown on the screen.


Note: Firefox 19.0 Final is scheduled to be released on February 18, 2013.

New features in Firefox 19.0 Beta
Firefox 19.0 Beta has the following changes:

New:
  • Built-in PDF viewer.
  • Firefox will offer to reset the Awesomebar search provider, if it has been changed by third-party software or through about:config.

Changed:
  • Canvas elements can export their content as an image blob using canvas.toBlob()
  • Startup performance improvements (bugs 715402 and 756313)

Developer:
  • Debugger now supports pausing on exceptions and hiding non-enumerable properties.
  • Remote Web Console is available for connecting to Firefox on Android or Firefox OS (experimental, set devtools.debugger.remote-enabled to true)
  • There is now a Browser Debugger available for add-on and browser developers (experimental, set devtools.chrome.enabled to true)
  • Web Console CSS links now open in the Style Editor.

HTML5:
  • CSS @ page is now supported.
  • CSS viewport-percentage length units implemented (vh, vw, vmin and vmax)
  • CSS text-transform now supports full-width.

Fixed:
  • Starting Firefox with -private flag incorrectly claims you are not in Private Browsing mode (802274)
