PDFCreator 1.6.0 Available for Download

PDFCreator 1.6.0 is now available for download. This version includes our new PDF Architect which greatly enhances the capabilities of the old Architect*. This version also includes some improvements to the pdfcmon to handle some special cases on different Terminal Server editions.

* As the new Architect is significatnly larger, pdfforge has created an online setup which will download PDF Architect on the fly if it was selected and an offline setup that can be used when no internet connection is available or a slow download is anticipated.

What's new in PDFCreator 1.6.0
This release contains the following improvements and new features:

Improvements:

• Adding default profiles to provide some profiles with reasonable settings.
• Tested for Windows 8 compatibility.
• Updated Ghostscript to 9.06.
• The completely new PDF Architect is now included in the setup.

Bug Fixes:

• Updated pdfcmon.dll to cover some additional cases with multiple sessions on Windows Server and Terminal Server.
• Fixed some minor bugs.

Known issues:

• No hyperlinks possible (Hyperlinks for MS Word are possible with the combination of PDF-T-Maker and PDFCreator.)
• There are problems if non-ANSI characters exist in the title. This causes Ghostscript to not create a file at all. Avoid such characters as a workaround.
