Update for RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feature is available for Windows 7 SP1

Microsoft has released an update (KB2830477) for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. These updates enables Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 users the ability to take advantage of the new Remote Desktop Services features introduced in Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2. Specifically, the new features offer faster reconnections, dynamic desktop resolution modifications, session shadowing, and better security.


Overview
These updates provide a collection of performance and reliability improvements that are designed to improve the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections feature experience in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. These updates also included a new Remote Desktop Connection (RDC) client for Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1.
