Microsoft releases an Update for Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8 (KB2833510)

Microsoft released an update KB2833510 for all supported editions of Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, and Windows RT. The update addresses multiple critical-risk vulnerabilities described in Adobe Flash Player 11.7.700.169 by updating the affected Adobe Flash libraries contained within Internet Explorer 10.

Security issues have been identified that could allow an attacker to compromise a computer running Internet Explorer Flash Player for Windows 8 and gain control over it. You can help protect your computer by installing this update from Microsoft. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer.

Microsoft recommends that customers apply an update KB2833510 immediately using update management software, or by checking for updates using the Microsoft Update service. Customers who have automatic updates enabled will not need to take any action because protections will be downloaded and installed automatically.
